Why does the Invisible Flame need to be seen?
A call for empathy, care and transformation
The flame that burns in silence needs to be seen
We live in a world where mental suffering is still surrounded by silence, stigma and misinformation.
Depression, in its multiple forms, does not choose age , social class or gender .
It can hide behind smiles, lodge itself in the tiredness of everyday life, disguise itself as apathy or silence.
It is this invisible flame that we decided to make visible.
The documentary "Invisible Flame" stems from a deep desire to break through the isolation and misunderstanding so many people face. Through real stories , sensitive testimonies, and a respectful approach, we seek to shed light on depression and its impacts at different stages of life, from childhood to old age, at work, in the family, in relationships, and in our inner selves.
We have already come a long way : almost two dozen recorded interviews, countless trips, conversations, research and meetings that have profoundly transformed us.
Each story, each gesture, each tear, and each word showed us how urgent it is to talk and listen about mental health with responsibility, empathy, and depth.
None of this would be possible without the support we've received thus far. Our sincere gratitude to all the individuals, institutions, experts, families, and partners who believed in Chama Invisível's purpose and helped us keep this flame alive. You are part of the change.
But the road is still long. We need more hands, more voices, more hearts committed to this cause. We invite you to join this movement. Whether as a supporter, partner, promoter, or simply as someone willing to listen and support. Your involvement can transform lives, including your own.
Depression isn't invisible to those who experience it. It's also not invisible to those who look.
Let's together transform silence into presence, invisibility into care, pain into possibility.
Join the Invisible Flame . Be part of this change.
